Who am I? My name is Silvana Dragan and I go by Sonic Paper. I am a visual artist who specializes in creating illustrations that capture the energy and emotion of music by proxy of flora and fauna. Where would I be without the lasting fascination for the way music can evoke such strong feelings in myself and observed listeners around me? Most probably not here writing this.
I find the rhythms, melodies, emotions and words conveyed in music and translate them into visual art. I incorporate elements of my favorite genres into my illustrations through the use of bold colors, very defined contours and oftentimes classic compositions plus large amounts of decorative elements and goldleaf. What do they say about the proverbial devil and the details? Seems I am quite accustomed to fine delicate textures and looping circles in my work.
