This might be my favourite passerine of all time. I can't help but go back time and time again and find the order ever fascinating and beautiful. Been overprotective of this one for some time now. He has been listening to a lot of Alt-J, but the perfect sonic accompaniment has recently emerged and now I feel he is safe to travel on and show off. I am still hiding the legs of my birds. Not quite sure why, but maybe revealing what they are firmly grasping in their claws needs to remain hidden for the moment being. This creature has found itself in deep autumn. It could be November. There’s dew on the leaves and the rowan is gold.
