I feel this was a long time coming as a new series. Pairs of birds. Birds are one of my favourite subjects and pairs because I feel confident to explore more than one character on the paper.
For this new piece I was drawn, excuse the pun, to go for pelicans.
I read about pelicans.
I found I might be one.
Why?
Because
Revitalization, regrowth, and learning from mistakes if you take recent history.
Good luck, an abundant catch and safe passage if I were a fisherman.
Courage, recklessness, survival, and the ability to bounce back due to adaptive evolution and calculated risk taking.
Gluttony, brazenness, thievery, dishonesty or foolishness because fomo.
The supreme self-sacrifice, selflessness, love, and nurturing say the Christians. Because blood tastes the best, I hear. Long live the Empyr Vampyr!
Greeks told me the pelicans can represent a period of peace or calm as well as a feeling of nostalgia after the Gods jealously cursed you to death but then tried to fix it in an equally cruel manner.
Ain't no confusion here, it is as I feared
